Company’s address: Head office, 280-4400 Dominion St, Burnaby, BC V5G 4G3 Position Overview and Summary: The successful candidate will collect and analyze financial information, perform various financial analyses in support of the Finance, Sales, and our Services team, provide financial advice as well as prepare and review financial reports for internal and external stakeholders. Position Title: Financial Reporting Analyst (NOC 11101) Type of position: full-time (40 hr/wk), permanent Hourly wage: $39.00/hr Benefits: Health and dental benefits, including LTD and life insurance, vision Job location: Microserve Edmonton Office, 5607 67 Ave NW, Edmonton, AB T6B 2R8 Key Responsibilities: • Collaborate with the sales and finance team to understand the data requirements and create automated processes and data reports for monthly financial statements, budgets, and forecasts. • Assess financial risk, prepare financial forecasts, develop financing scenarios, and create documentation for capital management. • Develop financial models, understand and navigate a changing and complex business environment when building financial models for what-if scenarios. • Develop, implement and use tools for managing and analyzing financial portfolio, analyze investment projects. • Create metrics and frameworks to measure price competitiveness. • Plan short- and long-term cash flows and assess financial performance to ensure it aligns with the company's financial goals and objectives. • Perform complex analyses of financial data to prepare reports and presentations for all levels of management and executives, facilitating the decision-making and financial reporting process. • Participate in preparing operating and capital budgets. • Identify and drive process improvements, including creating standard and ad-hoc reports and tools, and Power BI dashboards. • Advise on and participate in the financial aspects of contracts, while developing and maintaining financial models that accurately reflect industry-standard agreements. • Create reports and dashboards for corporate and business units, using multiple data sources and ensuring compliance with specifications. Position Requirements: • A bachelor's degree in commerce, business administration, accounting, finance or economics is required. • 3-5 years of relevant experience is required. • Excellent English for written and verbal communication is required. Asset Qualifications: • Data modelling experience with Power BI. • Ability to write SQL queries and understand the syntax of SQL. • MBA or CPA/CMA certification. • Strong MS Excel skills. • Background and experience in P&L management, along with knowledge of financial systems and general accounting concepts.
